Software Engineer
General Duties:
Will be responsible for design and development of Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud based software components in our J2EE application suite. Coordinate with project leads, architects and work with product management, development, QA, RE and operations teams throughout the entire development cycle. This person will be working and leading a team of 3-4 engineers on our Global Trade Management application design and development.

Position Requirements:
• BS degree in EE/CS or equivalent with 2 to 4 years of progressive software development experience with at least 2 years experience in building n tier web applications
• Strong understanding of Java fundamentals and object oriented design concepts
• Strong understanding of UI frameworks used in building J2EE applications such as Struts or other similar UI frameworks
• Understanding in building J2EE based systems including Enterprise Java Beans and Java Message Service (JMS)
• Understanding of J2EE design patterns and object oriented design techniques
• Understanding of J2EE standards and development practices
• Experience in evaluation of design tradeoffs and performance
• Fundamental understanding of SQL and Oracle or MySQL RDBMS
• Experience with Hibernate or other ORM tools a plus
• Experience with JBOSS or other application servers
• Understanding and experience with XML, JAXB a plus
• Familiarity with JavaScript and DHTML
• Familiarity with AJAX a plus
• Experience with building Web Services a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision
• Experience with linux, ant, cvs, svn, and eclipse preferred
