Responsibilities
* Identify, design and successfully manage to completion strategic
cross-functional projects to support automation efforts for our Operations
team and corporate infrastructure initiatives
* Create detailed requirements and processes (i.e. workflows, use cases, and
mock-ups) and partner with development teams and other key constituents to
translate these requirements into cutting-edge product enhancements or
entirely new applications.
* Manage analyses and reporting/metrics utilized in business decisions for
internal functional groups (Marketing, Dev, Sales, Product, etc).
* Understand and analyze the Business and Operations Support System market.
* Research industry best-practices, process innovations and competitive
solutions.
* Establish product vision, roadmaps and detailed requirements.
* Create and defend business-cases, build/buy decisions and key operating
metrics.
* Work closely with a software engineering team using Agile development
methodologies.

Leapset is looking for a User Experience Designer with a proven track record
of outstanding conceptual design, information architecture, interaction
design, and visual design skills. You will be responsible for all stages of
design and must think strategically while executing with great attention to
detail. As our lead UED your work will involve designing interfaces that
solve complex interactions with elegance and simplicity across multiple
platforms. You have a strong interest in technology and know how to work
alongside engineers and product managers. You will own the user experience
across the Leapset platform servicing customers, merchants, merchant
employees and internal Leapset employees. While driving user experience in
new features and products you will also be responsible for making sure
design and experience standards are maintained throughout the company.

* Leading interaction design from the requirements gathering phase through
execution of project. Deliverables to include use cases, task flows, user
interface elements, and documenting detailed design specifications for
development and QA.
* Developing storyboards and mockups to effectively communicate interaction
models and design ideas to clients and Leapset team members.
* Defining design strategy, standards, project approach and scoping.
* Lead, manage and train an offshore team of designers in best of breed user
experience design practices.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a key member of user experience team
* Bachelor¹s or Masters degree in HCI, product design, human factors or
related field
* The individual should be skilled at presenting work in an organized and
articulate manner and be comfortable contributing in client and internal
meetings
* Web development experience for application prototyping highly desirable
* Solid understanding of user interface design principles
* Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems Fluency with
Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash (ActionScript 2.0) or other design tools and
HTML5
* Ability to communicate design principles and build consensus
* Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills
* Must provide a portfolio or project samples of recent work. These samples
should include finished solutions as well as process documentation.
* Project management experience is a plus
* Ability to manage a balance between deliberation and productivity is a
plus
