CAE Position
Job Description:

Ensures that client's needs have been met and that the fpga synthesis product is fully functioning according to specification. Provides post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation, and maintenance of fpga synthesis products. May provide pre-sales support to company sales staff and customer personnel.

Has overall understanding of the fpga design process. Strong communication skills are required. Is proficient with HDLs (System Verilog/Verilog/VHDL) and has a strong understanding of FPGA/ASIC design flow. Knowledge of competitive EDA tool products and product knowledge in any of the areas of FPGA architecture, Synthesis, Simulation, Verification, Place and Route, Design Reuse and/or Physical Design is preferred.

Requires a BSEE and a minimum of 5 years of related fpga design experience. Possesses a full understanding of specialization area plus working knowledge of multiple related areas. Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions. Performs in project leadership role. Contributes to complex aspects of a project. Receives little to no instructions on day-to-day work, occasionally receives general instructions on new assignments and projects. Determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is independent and collaborative in nature. Provides regular updates to manager on project status. Represents the organization on business unit and/or company-wide projects. Guides more junior peers with aspects of their job. Frequently networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
